Hi! I'm Kristy, a Western Pennsylvanian transplant living in Northern Virginia. I earned my BS in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, followed by an MA in school counseling from Marymount University and a school library media certificate from Longwood University. I worked in education for 18 years as both a school counselor and a school library media specialist.
Currently, I’m an IET writer at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) as well as a writer for the local newspaper, Discovery Publications. In May I earned a Technical and Professional Writing certificate from NOVA. I also interned at ROUTE Magazine and ghostwrote five books. My creative work has been published in various literary magazines, and I’ve self-published a young adult trilogy and a short story collection.I’m proud to call myself a Xennial.
